Colombia is located mainly in the northwest of South America with some areas in Central America. Colombia shares borders with Panama, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, and maritime borders with Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Colombia is the third most populous country in Latin America and is almost five times the size of the UK.
